Astrology

Astrology is the study of the Horoscope, or Birth Chart, which is drawn up according to your time, date and place of birth. We are all familiar with reading the interpretation of the Horoscope, or 'Stars', in newspapers and magazines, which only takes into account each of the twelve 'Sun Signs' in the Zodiac. This is literally the zodiac sign that the sun was passing through at the time of your birth.

A Professional Astrologer draws a Horoscope using tables of data or a computer to work out where ALL the planets are at the time of the event to be determined or birth. Each planet in our solar system also passes in turn through the 12 zodiac astrology signs, so not only could the sun be in gemini at the time of your birth making you a Sun Sign Gemini, but the moon could be in Cancer, venus in Capricorn and Mars, Jupiter and saturn in Aries etc. etc.

The Astrologer then interprets the meaning of the symbology using skills passed down over centuries and a strong sense of Intuition

Most people are familiar with the idea that this event is your birth, and that your Sun Sign will fall into one of twelve Zodiac signs depending on what time of year you were born, but the event could in fact be anything or a comparison of people or times.

Tarot

The Tarot is a deck of 78 picture cards that has been used for centuries to reveal hidden truths. In the past few years, interest in tarot has grown tremendously, as more and more people seek extra insight and answers to their problems.

A reading consists of shuffling the deck, drawing a set number of cards at random, arranging them in a pattern or spread, and interpreting the symbols in relation to the past, present and future. A question or current life influence may be considered in the light of the drawn cards. When Tarot cards are placed in groups and patterns, the complexity of their meaning is multiplied and takes on specific interpretations that can be applied to situations in life. The tarot cards are deceptively simple, but surprisingly rich.

Tarot's strengths are an ability to pick up on people through the intuitive skills of the person doing the reading, but its weakness is, that it is not absolutely accurate on the timing of events or specific enough in answers to questions both of which is what Astrology is particularly good for.

Tarot is a kind of mirror for the mind. It allows hidden psychic currents to express themselves to our awareness.

I sometimes work with a very experienced Tarot Card reader called "Ann", and many of my clients have been impressed by the similarity and accuracy of the cross referenced information we have each separately been able to provide.

Recently out of interest I have learned Tarot and apply this branch of intuitive work in addition to my Astrology skills.

Tarot is good at getting a feel for people around you and getting an indication of events, accuracy of timing is not its strong suit.

Astrology and Tarot compared

There are many similarities between the symbols in Tarot and Astrology, including the planets and signs of the Zodiac. Both disciplines require the study of the disciplines method, and a large degree of intuition (this being more readily apparent to the client in Tarot).

Astrology tends to be more accurate on the timing of events and is easily able to compare the motivations of people involved in your past present and future by gaining a full description of character and motivations.

Tarot is very good at giving personal insights into people around you and a strong sense of your surroundings past, present and future.

Seeing a good Astrologer or Tarot Card reader will give you a good sense of what your best course of action should be, not only making you more assured and relaxed but giving you a good lift, which in itself will be a very positive experience.

Ultimately both skills require much intuition and they really represent two different tools for reading the same embedded information! you might note that intuition is what Psychics use, we are all spirits moving through energy!
