Did Hitler use an Astrologer?
Background to use of Astrology by the Nazi Leaders & the UK through the 1930's and World War 2
Astrologers in 1930's Germany had developed techniques that were probably the best available in the world and though Astrology was no where near as popular as it is now, there were many politicians and business people who were clients.
When the Nazi party came to power German astrologers were discouraged with the full influence of the Gestapo despite its use by prominent party leaders like Rudolf Hess, Heinrich Himmler, and Walter Schellenberg.
Despite the clampdown by the Nazi party through the decade leading to war, some Astrologers were put to gainful use in 1941 by a scientific institute under military control with the apparent blessing of the Nazi party. Wilhem Wulf was one such Astrologer who later wrote the book 'Zodiac & Swastika'.
Astrologers were amongst the group of people that the Germans put to use during their war effort to gain an inside edge. Little appears known about their success.
Wilhem Wulf had drawn the charts of Hitler, the Third Reich and several party leaders several years before they became more known and It is alleged in his book that with the influence of another prominent leader, Felix Kirsten, these charts and their interpretations, (which showed that they would have rather short lived success) were examined in much more detail.
It has been said that Hitler consulted an Astrologer for some of his decisions leading to war and during, however Hitler doesn't appear to have been reliable or relied too much on any one source of information and likely wouldnt have used such advice on principle. However the idea that Hitler did has captured the attention of the media both now and in previous years.
The real story is that some of Hitlers senior advisors DID take very seriously the Astrological advice that they were given, most prominent being Heinrich Himmler, who appeared to be very interested in the predictions that Hitler would not succeed and neither would the Third Reich and may have been responsible for the distance that grew between Himmler & Hitler later in the war.
A further and interesting twist to the story is that British agents working for SOE (Special Operations Executive) became aware of the apparent use of Astrology0by Hitler and Nazi leaders and wanted to tap into there own Astrological sources to find out what Hitler was being advised so as to predict and pre-empt Hitlers future plans.
The self styled german speaking claimed Hungarian businessman Louis De Wohl was brought to the attention of the british inteligence authorities claiming to know what made Hitler tick, something that was baffling british brains! He was later put to use in the USA making a case for the USA to join the war as he predicted that Hitler was going to lose anyway. He also made the claim that Hitler made all his successful moves during good transits, well anyone consulting an Astrologer or being advised by someone else taking such advice really ought to do that!
Of course the media is now awash with the usual 'you cant possibly be taken in by all this', but the subject seems to crop up in all sorts of places and usually in use by the powerful.
It is worth noting that so often in the 5000 year history of Astrology0and its applied use to solving the problems of the day, the very people who use Astrological advice to pursue their aims, are the very groups who play it down, sometimes to the point of preventing its use by everyone else, or at the very least painting it as all gobbledygook!
Astrologers are known to have been used by many Kings, Queens & leaders and (usually behind the scenes) this continues today.
What would have happened if Hitler had taken the advice seriously and planned his strategic objectives around his good planetery transits? Afterall The U-Boat offensive came very close to succeeding before the USA was pursuaded to join in.
It is said that Millionaires don't use an Astrologer..... but Billionaires have done so.
